Bukit Gambang Resort Town is close to Kuantan at the east coast. The water park trip to Kuantan takes half an hour (35 km). Kuantan oozes the feeling of the exotic seaside town, waiting for visitors to discover the east coast. It is easily to reach via the East Coast Expressway. A trip from Kuala Lumpur takes about 2 to 3 hours.
It consists of a beautiful water park (1), a safari park (2) and a zoo (3) with various shows, convention center and you can dine in a restaurant while African white lions walk behind glass.
Close to the water (fun) park are several hotels, which are very reasonably priced for us. Especially if you travel with your children to the east coast. Then this is a nice place to stop and explore the park, because there is still a lot more to do.
There is a wave pool (Coco Beach) in the water park, which claims to be the largest in Malaysia with eight different waves. There is a short water slide for children, but there is also a long slide, which leaves from a small hill (Tree Top Hill Slide). You can float with a large, colourful tire over a flowing river. What the adults can do, children can also do.
You can have fun with the Kidz Fantasy Island ("Penguin Island"), the Special Kidz Zone and Adventure Typhoon River all day long. There's also a long sandy beach, which is built by human hands. There is water fun, as they say, for "the young and the young-at-heart."
