20th Century Fox World would become a theme park at the Genting Highlands, which would be his rights to various films. The park was the only functioning 20th Century Fox theme park in the world and the first in Asia. It was planned to open sometime in 2019.
The theme park would have around 25 exciting attractions such as Ice Age and Rio, Blue Life Studios Pi, Life of Pi, Night in the Museum, Planet of the Apes, Alien vs.. Predator, Titanic and Sons of Anarchy.
As soon as the opening was to take place in 2016, the opening was postponed to 2019, allegedly due to the country's weak currency. However, in 2018 Fox Entertainment ended their agreement with Genting. In November 2018, Genting Malaysia filed a lawsuit against 21st Century Fox and The Walt Disney Company, allegedly attempting to withdraw from the deal, leaving the future of the park uncertain.
The Genting Group is still planning to open the park in the future, but the opening date is being postponed while the operator is considering various options, including the rebranding of the park.
