"Taiping is one of the oldest town in Malaysia, many prewar shophouses. This Mall adds modernisation to the town.Located main town centre, it " another " shopping like all others, shopping, restaurants, etc etc etc. A cool place to relax, after exploring Taiping historical town in the daily hot weather or shade from the " daily late afternoon rain " Easy parking n if you are on a budget for cheap, clean n delicious hawker / street food, many stalls in front of the Mall."

Taiping Sentral Mall

Taiping has 3 big shopping malls. Two are located within the center and one at outskirts. The Taiping Shopping Mall and the Taiping Sentral Mall are located in the center an the AEON more at the outskirts. They all have three or four storeys. They have all a lot of stores, restaurants (mostly fast food) and some have some entertainment like cinema's.
The eldest shopping mall is Taiping Sentral Mall. Taiping Sentral Mall is the premier shopping mall in the Heritage Town of Taiping, Perak. It's situated next to Tesco Taiping, it is a purpose-built 4-storey lifestyle, retail & commercial complex development comprising 108 units of shoplots and kiosks. Here you'll find the latest range of food & beverage, beauty, fashion, health, lifestyle and entertainment outlets. There are shops like Levi's, Peace, Mr D.I.Y, Subway, McDonalds, Watsons, Starbucks and the Guardian. There are also shops of OPPO. And for those who doesn't know that brand: it's a company, which makes very good smart phones in Malaysia. It's a Malaysian company. Parking is also available inside this mall, but there are rates for the parking.

Taiping Mall

The next one is the Taiping Mall (also called Pacific Mall). This one is the closest to the Lake Gardens, situated on the prime main crossroad of Jalan Tupai and Jalan Panggung Wayang in the town centre. It's on walking distance from the ols market and the Taiping Bus & Taxi Terminal, easily reachable by public transport. It's a shopping landmark in the heart of Taiping Town where daily bustling business activities are taken place. It is poised to become the new "heart" of Taiping as well as the hub of diversified commercial and social activities in the Central and Northern Perak.

This is a modern shopping mall with cheap eateries and clothes shops. It's housed in the same building as Novotel Taiping. Novotel Taiping was officially opened in April 2017 and Taiping Mall is about 5 years older. If you stay at Novotel Taiping & there there's a direct link to Taiping Mall via hotel lobby. Once from hotel lobby, on your left is the 7-Eleven which is really convenient. Some of the retailers in this mall are Hush Puppies, Carlo Rino, Trio, Aeon Wellness, Yamaha, Sushi King, Pacific Hypermarket, Paragon cineplex etc. Taiping Mall, next to Novotel Taiping is a newer, brighter and higher-end mall than Taiping Sentral Mall.
Parking is also available inside this Taiping Mall. There is quite a number of parking space available for those, who drive and the plus point here is, parking is still free for now. You are however required to take a parking ticket and to check out at the Autopay machine before leaving.
There's a supermarket which is located at the ground floor and there you can do your grocery shopping. There's a morning and night market just behind Taiping Mall. But both will have different stalls. In the morning market there will be more people than in the night market.

AEON Shopping Mall

The AEON Shopping Mall is located in the North of Taiping (Kamunting). It's the latest shopping mall and one of the largest in the area. As Malaysia’s (Japanese) leading retailer, AEON has become a familiar player in the country’s burgeoning retail market. When it was opened in 2014, it was the 29th store of AEON in the country. With an arterial road running nearby, accessibility is great even for customers from distant districts.
There are a lot of shops: Guardian, Watson, Wellness, The Face Shop, Elianto, Daiso, Baskin Robbins, Chatime, Daily Fresh, Sushi Ku (Sushi King Kiosk), Kidzoonia, Molly Fantasy, Hush Puppies, Nike, BUM, Giordano, FOS, Brands Outlet, Trio, PDI, SUB, Audrey, Royal Country of Berkhire Polo Club, Heritage Hub, Poh Kong, Tomei, Sasa, City Chain, TGV, Popular, The Body Shop, The Chicken Rice Shop, Sushi King, Johny's Restaurant, OldTown, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Starbucks, Nandos, Delifrance, Kenny Rogers, Black Canyon, Famous Amos, Auntie Anne's, Takio Ikayaki, Mister Donut, Scallop-Q, Crazy Potato and others.
